As a former local fisherman and dairy farmer in the area, he was very knowledgeable about the region's natural history plus he gave us some idea of how people adapt to this beautiful but challenging landscape. Despite blustery winter we visited all the key sites. Although we initially were skeptical about bathing in windy low temperature conditions, Bladur encouraged us to take the plunge at Myvatn and we are so glad we did! It was the perfect end to a wonderful tour.

Guide walked with us to main points of interest at each site, shared info and took photos for us if we liked. ... read more Tour departed in am before all the other tours do so we were first to arrive at first stop and early at most others, so small crowds all day. Scenic drive from point to point. Guide did a great job seeing to ea h person in the group.

Fantastic day with Johanna and Fox Adventures!  - Our tour with Fox Adventures was one of the best days of our entire trip to Iceland. We saw all the highlights (waterfalls, Lake Myvatn area, lava formations, etc)... read more plus so many extra sights. Our tour guide, Johanna, was excellent and she made the day such a success. She was knowledgeable and informative, and she was also helpful and fun. The weather was not great, but her positive attitude kept us enthusiastic and ready for adventure. At every stop we made she showed us around and pointed out things we never would have seen. She made sure everyone was comfortable and safe. She was always happy to take photos of us and all the other guests. We were a small group of seven people and made a bond that lasted for the rest of the cruise.
The tour bus had plenty of room and was very comfortable.
We highly recommend Fox Adventures for a great day in Iceland.
